Understanding the Context
In the American high school system, particularly those offering Advanced Placement (AP) courses, mathematics typically follows a structured progression. While the core sequence remains fairly consistent, we see considerable variation in advanced offerings. Some institutions provide opportunities for Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra, while others conclude their programs with AP Calculus BC.

Calculus AB Track

Calculus BC Track
Students in this track complete AP Calculus BC in their senior year, often starting with Algebra II in 9th grade. We recommend taking BC directly rather than AB followed by BC, as the BC curriculum encompasses AB content.

Multivariable Calculus Track

Linear Algebra Track
